Options - Stresses

In this window the type of stress results for a certain Load Case(s) and/or Envelope(s) is specified for the diagram, table, and/or list creation.

SettingDescription
Result component Different types of results can be selected under Result component:
SettingDescription
Stress at point Stresses for specified predefined stress point
TAUY Shear stress (in the Y direction) for a specified predefined stress point
TAUZ Shear stress (in the Z direction) for a specified predefined stress point
SIGI 1st principal stresses at a specified predefined point according to a chosen model (see additional options)
SIGII 2nd principal stresses at a specified predefined point according to a chosen model (see additional options)
SIGIII 3rd principal stresses at a specified predefined point according to a chosen model (see additional options)
Reinforcement stress of attribute Stresses in specified reinforcement attribute set (e.g., longitudinal reinforcement, bending reinforcement, etc.)
Tendon stress of given tendon stresses in specified tendon
To complete the selection, additional definition is necessary:
  • Stress point – if Stress at point, TAUY, TAUZ, SIGI, SIGII, or SIGIII is selected under Result component.
  • Attribute set – if Reinforcement stresses of attribute is selected
  • Tendon number – if Tendon stress of given tendon is selected

Multiple selection is possible when defining "stress points" or "tendon numbers". For stress points the multiple selection is done by simply selecting the check box next to the stress point. For the tendons multiple selection is done by pressing the <Space> key.

Leading component

If envelope is selected, the leading component has to be defined. Results will be displayed for the given leading component(s). For stresses it is possible to chose also a general minimum and maximum. This will show the maximum/minimum stresses.

For an explanation of other result options under this tab pleas see the explanation under Options-LC/Envelope.
